Sea Moss is vitamin-rich and contains 90% of the nutrients our bodies need.

Hey Family! Settling into the new year has been a rather bumpy transition. Anything is better than the grim 2020, I’m more than optimistic about 2021 in a nutshell. Despite still being in the middle of a global pandemic, locally this virus has picked up speed. Living in the SF Bay Area at this time still means we are in a shelter in place state and many “normal” activities are restricted. All the more reason my health has become so much more important.

My Mother is as health-conscious as they come and her recent recommendation sent me searching for answers. She spoke so highly of Wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss! With so many benefits, number one being that it helps the body fight back against everyday aging and inflammation. Anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral. It is used as a treatment to help prevent and relieve cold and flu-like symptoms. In this climate, adding Sea Moss to my routine would help so much to keep myself and my family from getting sick. By no means am I saying Sea Moss cures Covid, but why not condition your body to fight?

In this article, I will share what I’ve learned about Wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss and why I chose to sell this amazing product.

What Is Sea Moss?

Irish Sea moss, also known as Chondrus Crispus, is a type of red algae native to the Atlantic shorelines of the Caribbean Islands, North America, Europe. Sea moss has become increasingly popular due to Dr. Sebi’s teachings on the healing properties of sea moss.

Sea Moss is rich in amino acids, vitamin c, vitamin A, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and minerals.

SEA MOSS BENEFITS

  • Sea Moss contains 92 of the 102 minerals that our bodies need like zinc, iodine, iron, and more!
  • It is rich in amino acids, vitamin C, vitamin A, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and minerals.
  • It helps reduce inflammation.
  • It helps your body get rid of excess mucus (which is great, especially when you have a cold!)
  • It is great for respiratory health.
  • It helps get rid of bad bacteria in the gut and increases digestive health.
  • When applied to the skin, it helps improve eczema, psoriasis, and acne breakouts.

Author and vegan herbalist Paul Otote explained the health benefits of sea moss and why this seaweed is considered a “powerhouse” food. Sea moss has 92 of the 110 minerals the body is made from, says Otote and he calls it the “powerhouse.” Sea moss contains beta-carotene, vitamin B, vitamin C, and sulfur as well as minerals like magnesium, manganese, calcium, phosphorus, and zinc. All these contribute to healthy cell functioning in the body.

Here are a few vitamins and minerals found in Sea Moss:

  • Potassium
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Selenium
  • Vitamins A, K, and E
  • Zinc
  • Folate
  • Manganese
  • Selenium

Sea Moss Will Boost Your Energy Levels

Sea moss is full of iron, which many plant-based eaters lack because it’s commonly found in animal foods like meat, poultry, and seafood. Sea moss contains about 9 milligrams of iron per 100 grams, which means sea moss has 9 times more iron than chicken. When you’re feeling fatigued or low energy, it may be because your iron levels are low, since iron helps your body create red blood cells to move oxygen from your lungs to your cells.

On top of taking a healthy iron supplement, try adding sea moss in a gel form to your smoothies and see if you begin to notice the difference in your energy. If you have ever been diagnosed with mild anemia, sea moss could work to help your body get the iron you need.

Promotes natural weight loss

Sea moss contains iodine, the vital thyroid hormone precursor that is important for healthy thyroid function, and your body’s metabolism.

Sea Moss contains high levels of iodine, a mineral found in a limited amount of foods. Our bodies need this mineral in moderation to produce thyroid hormones. “These hormones control the body’s metabolism and many other important functions. The body also needs thyroid hormones for proper bone and brain development during pregnancy and infancy,” according to a study by the National Institute of Health. The key is to get the right amount, however, and not too much.

Sea Moss contains the vital thyroid hormone precurses that are important for healthy thyroid function and your body’s metabolism. So if your thyroid is not functioning properly it can be beneficial and aid in weight loss. But before you use sea moss to boost thyroid hormones or as a weight-loss supplement, check with your doctor because you don’t want to over-do these hormone precursors either. Moderation is the most important thing with thyroid function.

Helps your body build muscle

The seaweed is rich in protein, with 6 grams of protein per 100 grams of sea moss. The best way to get the benefit is with the sea moss gel added to your post-workout smoothie. Specifically, it contains an amino acid called taurine, which helps the body burn fat and build muscle. “Taurine can make the body burn fat instead of carbs during cardio,” Otote says.

Helps build a healthy immune system

Sea moss contains potassium chloride, which helps the body reduce inflammation and people take it to lower their risk of infections because of its positive impact on the immune system. Otote sums it up as a no-lose additive: “Sea moss when you’re ill is a win, and sea moss when you’re healthy is a win, it’s a win-win.”

Most importantly, given the current health situation, sea moss also helps the body fight back against all types of immune threats, including viruses and everyday aging and inflammation. It’s been used for hundreds of years as a treatment to help prevent and relieve cold and flu-like symptoms, in powdered form.

Because it is mucilaginous (sticky and thick), it helps soothe the mucus membranes in the body and helps your body get rid of any excess mucus. It is especially helpful in reducing congestion and clearing out phlegm buildup in the lungs, which is particularly helpful when you are dealing with a cold. Sea Moss is also a prebiotic and helps to get rid of bad bacteria in the gut, which further increases digestive health.

Sea Moss is also great for your skin!

I am sure you have heard of the recent sea moss facial trends. Because of its high vitamin and mineral content, sea moss is efficient when applied directly to the skin. It helps improve eczema, psoriasis, and acne outbreaks.
