Finally! The 8th month of the year is upon us! Hello, Leo season to my courageous Leos out there.
August is one of my favorite months reminding me that summer is still in full swing there is still a lot of fun left to be had. Cleaning around the house during this time of year is quite refreshing and relaxing. Summer scents fill the air, that sense of clean is to be celebrated. From Basil to Lemon, and Geranium and Jasmine subtly give those hints of fresh air in the home.
Though we are still in such an uncertain time cleaning is even more necessary. The silver lining is that each chore is scheduled around an activity I’d truly enjoy; whether it be finally finishing that book I started or sunbathing in my back yard. But having a clean and healthy home is truly the best reward!
Let’s check out my top 5 August Favorite cleaning products to use around the home!

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday-Cleaner in Geranium is tough on dirt and grime, gentle on your home. (Right from the bottle label) Lol. But seriously, this scent has quickly become my favorite. Geranium is both floral and revitalizing. It’s sweet notes combined with green citrus fit nicely in my summer pallet. It’s made with essential oils and plant-based ingredients in the USA and is paraben-free and biodegradable.
How to use: Simply spray on all non-porous surfaces like finished wood and tile floors, countertops, walls, porcelain, bathroom fixtures, sealed stone, and granite. Just wipe away. I love using my Dollar Store blue micro-fiber cloths while using this cleaner.

4. Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner + Bleach in Fresh Scent
Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner + Bleach in Fresh Scent. Ah, a disinfectant that doesn’t leave that sterile, bleachy scent. In the current Covid-19 era, finding any disinfectant products has been quite challenging, especially in the early stages. I came across this product in my local Target well-stocked near all the other natural cleaning products. Funny how so many amazing NATURAL cleaning products were in great supply everywhere! Hey more for us right?! For heavily soiled surfaces, pre-clean surface before disinfecting.
5. Caldrea Dish Soap in Sea Salt Neroli
Caldrea Dish Soap in Sea Salt Neroli, no bias remember? This dish soap though a little on the pricey side is an awesome addition to using the countertop spray. Yes, I belong to the handwash community and it’s something about this formula that doesn’t leave my hands so dry. I use the Grove Collaborative Bubble Up Dish Soap Dispenser Sponge Dish set to allow the scent of the soap to linger on my countertop. It’s biodegradable, made from renewable energy & vegan. Plus, its naturally derived concentrated formula is made to plow through grease and grime without leaving marks on your dishes. I alternate this soap with other favorites to conserve my natural goodness.
