My first blog post!

A long time coming. I can’t quite put my finger on why I want to start blogging but I know it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Thanks to the push from my sister, Enjoli, Milove Of Life was born! As a girl, I always kept a diary. I wrote things so private I honestly thought those mini locks actually could keep my brothers out. I was so wrong lol.

Fast forward to today. The world is such a different place now & privacy seems to be on the back burner. We are in the age of sharing which for me seemed hard to do. I started my Facebook page a year after launch, my Instagram page within months of the launch (imagine being the first IG-er) So I knew it’d be a matter of time before I cut out a small piece of the internet for myself. I’m very proud that I am giving myself a platform to get my thoughts out and share them with the world.

I plan to keep my blog about what I’m passionate about, things I spend hours on end researching and for entertainment. If I get super personal hey, it’s my blog but I want to keep this an open conversation for women, families like ours who need motivation, inspiration, and just plain want to control this mess of a life we have. I began my cleaning and organizing journey about a year and a half ago. I had no idea I’d be where I am with it now but it feels good to know people are paying attention and actually want my help. I give credit to sooo many Youtube influencers and various social media accounts which I will mention throughout my website. I have to give credit where it is due!

Funny I say my journey just began, I mean with as much detail that I put in now. I think the kick start for me had to be how to manage a smaller household with so many items. I live in a beautiful 1,000 square foot 2 bedroom home with minimal storage. I had to get creative with storage solutions and ways to keep the home clean without driving myself crazy. I love Kathryn’s (Do it on a Dime) advice.. the 80/20 rule. Keep your home 80 % perfect and leave 20% unperfected, give yourself room to live. It’s true, a family of 3 plus extended family keeps my 80% loading. I love every minute of it.

I get in my mood, set my Youtube videos or Spotify playlist & jam out completing whatever task is on my list. From reorganizing my spice cabinet to figuring out how many lip pencils I can get into my new makeup organizer (from Amazon :)) You’ll see soon how much I love Amazon! Seriously welcome to Milove of Life, I can’t wait to open up & share all I have to offer! We’re in this together!
